Understanding Metallic Epoxy Pigments
Metallic pigments give epoxy its shimmer, depth and movement. We work with three kinds: metallic powder pigments, liquid pigments and glow-in-the-dark radiant powders.
Powder pigments are fine, lightweight powders mixed into the resin. They offer the widest range of colors and effects, including pearls, shimmers, glitters and rainbow-shift tones, and they create rich, marble-like movement. They are best for interior floors.
Liquid pigments are pearlescent colors made from coated mica particles. Because they are translucent, light passes into the resin, creating a deep, three-dimensional marbled look.
Radiant pigments charge in light and glow after dark, which makes them great for accents, borders, bars and game rooms.
