How We Install Metallic Epoxy Floors
A metallic epoxy floor is only as good as the concrete beneath it. Every 11° Resin metallic floor starts with diamond grinding to remove old coatings and contamination and to open the concrete so the resin can bond. Cracks and joints are repaired, and we use a moisture-mitigating base coat, which matters on Washington concrete.
Next comes a solid base coat in the color that sets the tone. While it is still wet, metallic pigments are mixed into clear epoxy and worked across the surface by hand. The swirls, veining and depth form as the material flows, which is why no two metallic floors are alike. Once the design has set, a protective clear topcoat locks in the gloss and adds resistance to scratches, chemicals and UV.
What Affects the Price of a Metallic Epoxy Floor?
Every metallic floor is custom, so pricing depends on your space rather than a flat rate. The main factors are:
- The size of the area
- The condition of the concrete: cracks, old coatings, patches and moisture
- Design complexity and the number of pigment colors
- The base, decorative and topcoat systems you choose
- Access and special requirements, like slip-resistant additives
